Overview
"XUNKU: Echoes Beneath" is the flagship panoramic immersive film about XUNKU. The audience physically enters the grotto and the world of the "center of the earth" - it is not a geographical space, but the depth of civilized memory. The work combines digital reconstruction of cultural heritage with immersive narrative, becoming the most representative film practice of the XUNKU project.
Worldview
"The center of the earth" connects history, reality and cultural memory of the future. "Searching" is a continuous and in-depth action within history. The film uses immersive images to allow the audience to travel through sutra fires, scripture scrolls and grotto sites, and experience the rebirth of civilization in the digital age.
Method
Panoramic immersive film, spatial narrative, digital reconstruction of cultural heritage and sound design are combined; from collection and reconstruction to screening and exhibition linkage, an image scene that can be entered repeatedly is formed.
